  1. Oh love muffin…so cranky. Get the wow joystick out of your ass and cheer the fuck up! Hows the greenhouse? Maybe a skinny dipping in the foutain video would cheer you up..well it would cheer me up. Ok..here is my fat american ass shutting up now..but I do love you!

  2. Zilla — I kinda know how you feel. Sometimes hanging out on the WWW is gives you greater scope of knowledge and so therefore greater opportunity for depression. It’s happened to me but I did a bit of a change of scenery from my podcast listening for a bit and when I came back, I wasn’t so bummed.

I do think for podcasts to be really successful, we need to stop talking to ourselves and start getting non-podcast listeners to start listening.

Lastly, maybe, when your boss tapes the locks, you should carefully peel back the tape, open the door and then replace the tape. Then, with a fine point sharpie, write “Hi Boss” on the tape. Maybe draw a smile, too. Make sure to leave evidence of your being in the room so if he does try to nail he’ll see that you were actually there to do your work. What a dick — that guy.

  3. We want to throw knives at your boss

  4. I have a love/hate relationship with Metallica as well. Love their music, hate their industry. I think Podshow started off on the right track and then got sucked into the traditional corporate radio business model. There are some people out there making a living by using podcasting to enhance other things they are doing, but not relying completely on it. Regardless of what it’s called in 5 years, I really believe that online media is the future. The only way we will have a piece of the pie is to stick with it and not let corporate america completely take it over.

Do you work in my department? You do don’t you? Reveal yourself..

  5. I’m surprised that you don’t think that there is any severability between the artists and the RIAA regarding complicity. OH well. Your “Supervisor” sounds like a super pain in the ass. I would so be complaining to his supervisor. Especially about the locks thing. He’s putting company property at risk and being unreasonable and should go get fucked by a horse and die. Well, maybe not, that’s probably too good for him from what I’ve heard.

  6. hey man,

it is strange what has happened with this knowing stuff phenomenon made possible by the net. at first it seemed like freedom, and it felt powerful –access to sooooo much information. for a long time new things seemed possible; after all knowledge is supposed to translate into power.

    but that’s not what happened.

i discovered that no matter how much i learned, how many layers i peeled of The Machine till finally it was there for me to see, naked and hideous, very few people wanted to see– most people don’t want to know how the monster works or that it is there at all.. and that is the hardest thing to learn — when you finally discover there is no santa claus, nearly everybody else wants to keep their eyes shut and go on living in an easier ignorance. meanwhile every generation or so The Machine finds ways to make more money by killing a few million folks –iraquis, vietnamese, who’s next– and johnny goes marching off to war again. as long as there are fortunes to be made by killing the innocent it’s going to happen again and again and again. i see this now. i know this now. and it doesn’t make me feel one bit powerful. it makes me feel totally fuckin helpless.

    just my 2 cents.

  7. Hey Thanks for the comments all and ya know oneken we have been at war with someone somewhere scince 1950!
