   I’ve talked about this on my podcast and I was going to send an audio comment to Curry, but after hearing his Monday program where he is like. “Oh, all is fine. Madge and me made up.” I decided against and just unsubscribe. Who needs that kind of crazy cracker going off like a meth freak on speed. And I also unsubscibed from Yeast radio because Madge took back her true rant.

   I was also pretty disgusted with ETHS. Despite what Ragan might say about things being reductive, just because the criticism came from Madge doesn’t mean that it is invalid criticism.

   Oh, and how 8th graders don’t even know what it means? That’s precisely why it’s so damaging. We all grow up thinking faggot is the worst thin you could possibly be without even knowing it. It’s not like the back history of the word is just erased when we suddenly start associating it with homosexual.

   Sure words may be just words, but it’s how we communicate, and they carry large meanings with them. I don’t think that it’s petty or jejune to be upset.

   As for Mr. Curry, I think one of my favorite quotes is applicable.
   “The bourgeois, however, is tolerant. His love of people as they are stems from his hatred of what they might be.” Basically, giving lip service and appearing to be more tolerant is just another way of denying people rights. It covers up the surreptitious operations of a more damaging system of disenfranchisement.

   Madge was a severe disappointment. For someone with such strong convictions and beliefs, she sure caved in on this one.
